Eric and Ivy start to look for light leaks into an optical fiber that sends a singal from a scintillator to a photomultiplier tube(PMT). The scintillator converts x-rays and neutrons to light and the PMT amplifies the signal. But other light has to be excluded, so the light leak has to be found by shining a flashlight along the shielded fiber and monitoring the oscilloscope.
