This Crash Responder Safety Week (#CRSW), November 13-17, FHWA Administrator Shailen Bhatt thanks our Nation’s first responders who we rely on to safely and quickly clear crashes, stalled vehicles, debris, and other roadway incidents. During this Crash Responder Safety Week—and every week—we call on every driver to protect those who protect you by slowing down, moving over, and staying alert when approaching our first responders who are working roadside.
Administrator Bhatt also applauds the nearly 700,000 first responders nationwide who have completed FHWA’s National Traffic Incident Management Responder training and encourages first responders who have not taken the training to sign up for a free 4-hour training session.
