The room was imagined to be built in an apartment building, with windows looking out, but there's a constant storm outside. The house is sparsely decorated, with one occupant, and dishes and boxes are piling up.
This build was made during the early stages of lockdown, in November 2020. I had often made houses that I idealized and enjoyed looking at, with shabby chic doilies and softness, but after months of commissions something changed in my design philosophy. After never making what I wanted, in the midst of a lot of sadness and doubt, I wanted to show what I was feeling. And also to show how mundane life is sometimes, even for our Warrior of Light.
