While this is a perfect example of everything in Nidhogg EX going correctly, it's no-less fun because of it.

A major point of healing Nidhogg as Scholar is a lot of pre-shielding. Knowing when to shield can save you and your cohealer much-needed MP, and can prevent potential deaths from mistakes. Having a Bard or Machinist is nice for MP during downtime or to recover from deaths, but is not required if things go correctly. In a bad Nidhogg run, with deaths to mechanics, MP becomes very scarce.

If you think about it, each death is very taxing in a lot of ways. Healers waste time and upwards of 3k+ MP getting a player resurrected, topped off, re-protected, etc., not to mention having to babysit the weakened player due to their reduced health pool. That's not including the lost DPS and the extra MP spent healing the tanks/group due to phases being pushed late, which also means hard enrages become a looming threat.

A thing I see many Scholars do is use Deployment Tactics during things like the opening of the fight, or during Nidhogg's transition from add phase to human form. I believe this to be inefficient, as a succor is ample for both of these things granted that the party is topped, with a sacred soil being helpful for the latter.
