Final Fantasy 14's Berlin Fan Fest keynote just dropped and it's packed. Here's everything revealed for the new expansion, Evercold:

- New Job: The Bastion, a main tank wielding dual shields (Skyltborg) that transform into a ranged shield gun mid-battle
- New Areas: explore Naglfar (Realm Ship of Water) and Huringhouni (Realm Ship of Fire), floating airship cities built after the world froze over
- Main Scenario Overhaul: choose your own order through three areas before the story reconverges, backed by a new auto-balancing system
- New Raid Difficulty: a middle tier between Normal and Savage, plus the FF7 crossover raid "Beyond the Lifestream"
- Nintendo Switch Release: FFXIV launches August 4th with a free trial
- Chocobo Overhaul: bring your Chocobo into dungeons starting patch 8.1
