FFXIV, while it wasn't my cup of tea it did have some pretty cool music. I was commissioned to remix Alexander's theme (locus) from it so here you go. It's also a vocal cover so there's that lol
This was a little different than my usual style in terms of genre at least. Though the sound design is relatively the same. This was almost more of like a future bass kind of thing? Though it's not as flashy as future bass usually is. Idk I kinda like it lol. I hope you guys do too!
So lately I've been in kind of a rut with YouTube. Not entirely sure what kind of stuff I should make since I never want to be stuck making remixes from only a handful of franchises, however there's only a few that people would want to watch so I'll have to create a balance. It's tough but I guess this is dipping my toes into something new that isn't just pokemon and undertale lol.

Happy birthday, Deltarune! Last year you took the internet by surprise and we all were super excited to play the new story Toby just dropped out of nowhere. I cant believe it has already been a year. To celebrate, I made a second Field of Hopes and Dreams remix! (technically 3rd but that was a fusion for a raffle lol)
So this one was an experience. I wanted to go for a Trance vibe this time because the last one was a Disco-like remix. Yeah I dont know what my thought process is either. I guess because the last one was more of an acoustic kinda remix I wanted to go for a more electronic one this time so its at least new in a sense that its a different spin. Not to mention I really put in my all last year so trying to top it this year would be nearly impossible, but I am pretty happy with how this one turned out.
This one was a nightmare to mix. As many problems in creative fields go, once you fix a problem with something, another problem pops up in its place. If I thought the pianos were too quiet, I fixed them, now that saw melody is too loud, so I fixed that, all of a sudden I cant hear the pad chords in the background, so I fix that. Change after change and it was like I was chasing a wild goose lol.
Regardless, I got it to a point where I was happy overall with the big picture. I can definitely speak for a lot of people (artists, musicians and Audio engineers alike) that we tend to find problems in places where there might not be any so we tweak and tweak driving ourselves mad until were like OK THATS ENOUGH ITS DONE xD
Im very happy I was able to get this mix up to 6 minutes long. A weird thing I tend to think about that Im sure not many people really care for is length of the song. It just feels like an accomplishment if I can take something that is short and simple like a 2 minute video game ditty and turn it into something big and complex like a 6 minute trance remix.

Who would win in a fight, Jevil or Omega Flowey? Jevil says he can do anything, but Omega Flowey has proven to have god powers basically so Im not entirely sure lol
Anyway this started of as an idea Retro had, and he told both Shara and I that itd be cool if we all did it together, so here we are! I decided to go for a more chaotic approach rather than harmonic, since its all about chaos with these two characters so might as well go all out, amirite? It was a little difficult finding ways to combine both themes but after a lot of trial and error, I thought maybe sampling the sound effect from your best nightmares intro and pitching it to fit with The world revolvings main chord progression would work. And Id say that maybe it did? Towards the end it seems like they were trying to show each other up to see who could cause the most chaos though at the end, the listener got caught in the crossfire and well... yeah
So let me know, who do you think will win in a fight?

Probably one of my favorite songs from the sonic series. I dont think many people know but Im a huge fan of the classic sonic games, since I grew up playing them on my Xbox waaay back in the day (I had the mega collection plus) so I have very fond memories of the first three games. So for this one, I did DnB again. I know, shocker right? Id say Im happy about this one. It felt good to put something out that wasnt Deltarune for once, and I hope you guys who came here recently are still sticking around, because Im more known for variety stuff and I got a lot of franchises Id love to get to!
