In the remake the dress sidequest technically spans many chapters, with tifa's and aerith's being determined by sidequest progress per chapter.
Cloud's dress quality is now determined by a funny dance minigame, rest assured though the original quest chain from ffvii is still here but has been reworked into one of two different sidequest chains that are determined by two interactions you have with chocobo sam.
the wall market trio are new characters integrated into remake, with madam m feeling the most like an ffvii npc pulled out of the original due to the way she moves. johnny is much more prominent in remake and has a greater presence overall. Likewise kotch and scotch get an incredible makeover. the corneo colosseum is also a new edition and where you can fight a boss version of the hell house, which gets the biggest makeover of all. this fight also comes with kotch and scotch commentating on every summon you bring to the fight, including ones you can't obtain yet. which is a REALLY neat detail.
Overall remake's take on wall market is my favorite. it really adds to the idea that midgar is a community of people and even the reviled don has a place in the slums, even if people chafe under his rule. -- Watch live at twitch.tv/doktor_amazing
