GarlandTheGreat | FFVII - Action Button Only Challenge [No EXP] , Part 9: Bottomswell @GarlandTheGreat | Uploaded July 2023 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
While we did have a few trouble battles already, this is the first one I consider to be hard. My first few attempts didn't even get close. I'm not going to use Yuffie in this challenge since her level is so much higher than everybody else, so I only get two attackers here, and Barret's best long range weapon at this point is only the Assault Gun. At least I can give Elemental=Choco/Mog to Cloud for double damage, but it's still not great.
I start by unleashing some limit breaks. A few more attacks now will trigger the Waterpolo stage, and I want to have full health when that happens, so I wait until Aerith has a limit break. The first one must hit her, otherwise you lose an attacker. The next one must hit Barret and then you have to hope Cloud can finish the battle before he gets killed, which is not a guarantee. If only one of my attacks missed, I would have lost. I'd probably have a better chance of success if I brought Red instead of Aerith and made him the main attacker with Howling Moon. The extra damage would probably make up for that one Healing Wind.
Since battles are now getting tougher, I'm going back to one video every other day. This also gives me more time to work on my next project and enjoy the rest of summer.
