The game freezes at Super Nova, so you have to defeat him before that. That's 80000 damage in not a lot of turns, so I leveled all the way up to 98. His wing attack targets the highest current HP, so both characters will get a limit break either way. Sorry about the anti-climax, but only the game is to blame.
My original plan was to have one character with the Reflect Ring and one with the White Cape. Shadow Flare and Break would then have to hit the Reflect Ring every time or miss, and Pale Horse would have to hit the White Cape. That's already very luck reliant, but I'd also have to pray not to get destroyed by Supernova's confusion.

Hes not completely harmless. Attacks from an element youre not protected against really hurt. Of course, I could just set up one character to be protected against all three, but I decided to at least give him a chance.
