The Fettercairn Vanguard Series 1st Release is a limited small-batch bottling based on Fettercairn's research with Scottish oak and innovative hybrid casks. The Highland whisky has been matured for 14 years in ex-bourbon casks since 28 February 2008 and then matured in 200-litre casks made from American oak and heavily burnt Scottish oak.
