In this video I am out on the woods with Andy from Kent Survival for a Christmas festive camp and cook.

Driving in to the woods and finding a good spot where we can shelter from the wind, we set about making a comfortable camp. We both have canvas swags to sleep in and set them up under the shelter of our vehicle awnings. Once the usual camp chores are done, we settle down for the evening to enjoy some good grub and a couple of beers whiles we plan our festive cooking for the morning.

Day two brings strong wind and rain, but not enough to put us off!
Coats and silly hats on, we dig a pit to cook our Christmas dinner in, heating rocks to provide the heat for the ground oven.

While dinner cooks we decorate, we adjust camp, we set the table, pull crackers, eat mince pies and try to keep sheltered from the weather.
The wait was worth it - full roast with all the trimmings and plenty of wine to wash it all down.
