I am the Festival Programming Coordinator and work became all consuming in the crunch time leading up to the festival.)

The bodies of 215 children were recently found in an unmarked grave near the Kamloops residential school. Residential schools were government funded instruments of genocide. The last school was closed in 1996. The ripple effects of loss of life, language, and culture are ongoing. The Indian Residential School Survivors Society offers support to Survivors, families and communities. I have donated here:
