February 11th, 2024.


The day I lost you. it's been 5 months since you took your last breath. the day I lost my mother, my best friend, the person I used to do everything with. I remember being in the bedroom, telling you how much I'm gonna miss you. You had tears rolling down your cheeks, I knew you could hear me. I made a promise and said "I got everything under control Mom. you can go..." I knew you didn't wanna give up.. but your confusion, the pain you were in everyday, you thought you were holding us back which wasn't the truth. I'd rather be there for you than be going out with friends. I remember when your sister called for us in... Dad checked your pulse... he looked over at me and said "...I'm so sorry.. she's gone." The pain I felt in my chest... I ran to you... yelling "No !! Mom !! Come back... please. I can't live without you. Please... don't do this... please." The family watched me as I fell down to my knees in front of you, crying. I don't remember much from that day... but I walked out of your room, I kicked the chairs, and felt angry, hurt, not wanting to be alive anymore. 5 months later, I am here writing this. a lot of good things happened recently but it feels wrong because you're not here with me. We leave for Havasu in a few weeks... I am gonna be driving by myself... but I will think of you, play our favorite songs and pretend you're there singing along with me. I love you Mom. I miss you so much. I will see you again soon.
