Comparison of these two Fenix lights.
I made this video in one evening with fog and joined several pieces of footage, the result is a bit chaotic but I tried to show various scenarios.

I bought this PD35 V2.0 almost for fun, I was very undecided but after trying it briefly I am happy with the purchase.
There are many differences with the TAC version, the new version 2.0 has the level selection button with a colored led that indicates the percentage of charge.
The led is always XP-L but this V2.0 has it in the HI version.
PD35 TAC: XP-L (V5)
PD35 V 2.0: XPL- HI V3
Throwing is therefore very different-
PD35 TAC = 10000 cd
PD35 V 2.0 = 15,600 cd
The PD35 TAC has two springs.
PD35 version 2.0 has only one spring :-(
My flat batteries do not work and *this 2.0 version needs a button top battery*
The light levels are different:
PD35 TAC:
8 - 60 - 200 - 500 1000 lumens (+ strobo)
PD35 v 2.0:
3 - 50 - 150 - 350 - 1000 lumens (+ strobo)
I wish the levels were identical ..
For the version 2.0 I can approve the level of 3 lumens and 50 lumens to have more autonomy but I would have preferred the medium and high were of 200 and 500 as on the TAC version.
Or at least the high level of 400/450 instead of 350 lumens.
There is also a good throw at 350 lumens (6150 cd)
I have not yet used the luxmeter but from the tests I did in a place where I usually test my flashlights I am sure that the declared lux are true .. indeed I suspect that they could be more because this light has a nice throw !
I tried V 2.0 with a KeepPower 2900 mA protected battery, I then bought for this light the KeepPower 3500mA and the NCR18650GA Button tops, they are on the way.
TAC version tested with old NCR18650B
Both flashlights have a nice tint (cool withe)
Neither torch allows the tailstand but this is not a problem for me.
In the absence of the tailstand, to make light in the house (sending the light towards the ceiling) just put the torch in a large empty glass.
Other difference TAC vs 2.0:
The TAC version, it must be said that it has two modes for selecting the brightness (outdoor and tactical)
In the first way the torch is turned on by the rear button and with the button on the torch body the 5 levels are changed (+ strobe)
Programmed as a tactic, however, the torch always turns on from the rear button but the rear button allows you to change the levels (3) with the sequence: Turbo, Low (60 lumens) Strobo.
Version 2.0 instead has only the standard mode.
The TAC version has less throw but a wider and more comfortable beam for the close distance.
Version 2.0 has a lot more throw but a less bright spill.
Another important difference is that the TAC version has a timer (after 5 minutes of Turbo it drops to the high level)
Version 2.0 has a thermal sensor that intervenes only when necessary.
