New Atlas | Fender Acoustasonic Jazzmaster vs Maton 808: Live Sound @gizmag | Uploaded March 2021 | Updated October 2024, 9 hours ago.
The Acoustasonic was built to be the "modern acoustic," a super-lightweight, thin hollow body with piezo pickup, body sensor and a humbucker pickup with a built-in processor to take its acoustic sound and produce 10 different "characters" you can switch between, from a big, full acoustic dreadnought through to an overdriven electric sound.
Here, we play a similar loop on the Acoustasonic and a Maton 808, running the signal through an acoustic effects board and loop pedal, to see if the new Fender delivers an acceptable live sound.
