Time to wade into controversy and probably lose so of my more fickle subscribers. I should clarify here that Feminism is a highly diverse movement which includes people with different and even contradictory ideas. I do not endorse any and all people calling themselves feminist or all branches of the movement by any stretch of the imagination. Nonetheless, it is obvious to me that in a nontrivial sense, women have not achieved equality with men, in our society or globally. How the problem should be addressed is a matter of debate, but the issue is not irrelevant.
