Delve into the world of acronyms! An in-depth walk-through of LOMAs, LOMR-Fs, LOMRs, and CLOMRs. We’ll talk about the Letter of Map Amendment (LOMA) options to update the FEMA zone for structures that are shown in the FEMA mapped floodplain, but that are actually above the Base Flood Elevation based on better elevation data. We’ll also cover highlights of letters of map revision based on fill (LOMR-Fs). Then we’ll dive into more details on the application process for Letters of Map Revisions (LOMRs) - actual map changes. Target audience is local officials, engineers and surveyors.
