i wrote this in LA with the talented Alna and Savannah Sgro. It’s always a pleasure to write with people more skilled than I am so that I can hopefully learn something new and improve my craft. (I did.) The production came together rather quickly afterwards, I think during that same trip, which is rare. A couple solo days in the studio and the bones were all there, then fine-tuning followed extensively over the next few months until it felt right. The lyrics have a brutal honesty which I like and I hoped to compliment them with a punchy melody on the drop that had the same conviction.
