Fire Emblem: War of Lovers is a crossover between many games, Fire Emblem and beyond. Act 3 serves as a sequel to Gaiden.
The island of Valencia had been unified into a single country with the marriage of Alm and Celica. It seemed that it was on the cusp of a golden age. Yet, one day, Celica simply disappeared without a trace. The two complemented each other: Celica's disapperance removed the main moderating influence on Alm.
A few weeks after Celica vanished, Marth and his army arrived from far-off Elibe. With all of Valencia on high alert and with nobody above suspision, Valbo, one of the local knights, took Marth in for questioning - a suspect like any other.
What no Valencian knew was that Celica's abductor was Queen Celine of Firene, taking orders from Alear of Lythos, all from the continent of Elyos... With everyone snarled in Lythian string, could a war between Akaneia and Valencia possibly be avoided? Or is yet another devestating conflict destined to happen?
The gameplay of War of Lovers contains many mechanics from the earlier Fire Emblem games, including dismount, while also allowing the player access to a broad array of characters: either fixed characters from throughout Fire Emblem, or random characters from beyond.
