The Shadow of Dawn is a 28-chapter hack of FE8. It provides some minor expansions to vanilla gameplay, while focusing on a fun plot full of twists and turns, fully fleshed out characters (with fully complete supports!), and polished dialogue / writing throughout.
The Shadow of Dawn is also the direct narrative sequel to The Dark Amulet, which came out in 2024. This game takes place 10 years after the events of the Dark Amulet, and brings back many characters and plot threads from the first game.
The Shadow of Dawn is not made for iron man runs. Due to the plot relevancy of many characters, a good portion of party members will cause game over upon death until later in the game.
