Astral Throne is a Fire Emblem-inspired Roguelike in the vein of Slay the Spire and Chrono Ark. Though, there are no cards or deckbuilding, instead the game functions mostly the same as FE. Astral Throne uses this structure to hone in on certain parts of Fire Emblem's core designs, with an emphasis on tactics, team building, characters, music, and of course, permadeath. We at Zero Sun Games decided to create an original game instead of a hack, despite being spiritually similar to one, to allow us to overhaul the levelling, class skill, world map, and UI systems to more fully realize the idea, and to hopefully use as a platform to create the best game that we can.
