Type: Federal Signal STH-10
Signal: Alert
Location: 549 IN-38, New Castle, Henry County, IN
After meeting up with Burns at a 14V that failed to sound, we made our way to Cadiz, IN to record their SRNB. Burns got there ahead of us, and let us know that the antenna seemed to be tampered with, and he was heading to New Castle for their Thunderbolt. It was 11:50 at this point, so we high-tailed it into New Castle, and settled on the STH-10 at New Castle Stainless Plate (previously Outokumpu). Initially, we were just going to get an ambience, since it's way back in a a gated complex, however I ended up finding a spot where you could see it. With this county's exotic system, it was a gamble as to whether this was even tied in with the rest of the sirens, but it really paid off. You can hear various other sirens during this video, including a 508 quite a ways away in Greensboro, a few 2001's in New Castle, and of course the downtown Thunderbolt. Enjoy!
Henry County sirens are tested every Friday at noon.
