This is my first ever siren experience. Yes, I was really excited. This siren is located at Centennial High School in Franklin, TN. Today it was really cloudy, so I think they decided to do the test function on all the 2001's and Modulators in Franklin, so that the 1 minute Attack test wouldn't scare anyone. I also heard other 2001-SRNB's in the background before this one was tested. One 2001 actually did Attack Mode.
Note: If you listen closely, at the start of this video, this 2001 "growls" a little bit. After this siren growls, other 2001's can be heard starting up in the background, as they are being individually tested. At 1:06 in the video is when this siren demonstrates it's power. Also, notice that the siren rotates a little bit before the rotor starts up.
At the end, there are pictures. The last 2 pictures were taken through binoculars, so that explains the circles in those last 2 pictures.
Since the full test wasn't done due to the cloudiness, I'm going back to this same siren next month to get the full 1 minute Attack test.
UPDATE: The rotator problem was promptly reported to the Franklin Fire Department and was serviced and repaired immediately. This siren is now working properly.
