Many of us are probably aware of the viral success of the Netflix movie K-pop Demon Hunter especially with the popular Soda Pop dance trend that came from it. SB19 recently joined the trend with their own dance cover, and it quickly caught attention that even Netflix Philippines left a comment on their video.
Even more impressive, the director and writer of the movie also noticed SB19’s Soda Pop's version. It really feels like all the spotlight is on them right now because recently, their Soda Pop dance was even featured on a local news outlet in Taiwan.
What makes this even more special is that although many popular Taiwanese influencers also did their own versions of the dance trend, the media still chose to feature SB19. That says a lot about how well-known they’re becoming in Taiwan. Honestly, it’s no longer surprising to see them regularly mentioned in Taiwan news after their concert.
Just recently, SB19 was also featured on CT Good Jobs website, one of the most trusted online news platforms in Hong Kong. The article talked about the upcoming Saw Concert this September and how the Li Ka Shing Foundation will be giving out free tickets to foreign domestic helpers. As of now, there are no clear details yet on how these tickets will be distributed, but I’ll be making another video once the full mechanics are announced.
Because of this, many A'TIN in Hong Kong have started asking if a second concert day could be added. Since it’s difficult to find a new venue at short notice, fans are hoping for a second day instead. We’ll find out more once ticket selling begins. If tickets sell out quickly and there’s huge demand, there’s a huge chance the organizers will consider the request.
Fans actually prefer smaller venues because it makes them feel closer to SB19, and that’s exactly why so many are hoping for day two instead. But day 2 also means two consecutive days of shows and doubled logistics expenses. Let’s wait and see what happens in the coming days.
