He survived falling off a mountain peak, a helicopter crash, and a Taliban ambush in Afghanistan. Now, former army officer, war reporter, and extreme adventurer Géraud Burin des Rosiers faces his toughest challenge yet.
On the border of Ecuador and Peru, he ventures into the Amazon in search of the Huaorani. With them, he hunts crocodiles with his bare hands, steals honey from angry bees, learns shamanic rites, and drinks the hallucinogenic potion ayahuasca to transform into a jaguar. Guided by survival instinct, he plunges his hands into a hornet’s nest and faces the world’s most dangerous snake—the coral snake.
