StudioCanal brings Fear in the Night to 4K Ultra HD for the very first time — and it arrives in an impressive collector’s package.
This Hammer horror classic is presented in its original 1.85:1 aspect ratio with a Dolby Vision HDR grade, delivering a noticeable upgrade over previous releases. The image retains a healthy layer of natural film grain, preserving detail while Dolby Vision enhances contrast and colour, giving the film a more lifelike and atmospheric presentation.
Packaging is a real highlight here. This edition includes a spot-glossed rigid slipcase, a digipak housing both the 4K and Blu-ray discs, two foldout posters, and a 64-page collector’s booklet — making it a strong addition for collectors.
Audio is presented in the film’s original LPCM mono track, which remains clear and faithful to the source, with no unnecessary upgrades.
Special features include a new exploration of the film by critic Kim Newman, alongside a range of archival material such as audio commentaries, retrospective content, still galleries, and the theatrical trailer.
This is another high-quality Hammer release from StudioCanal, and it sits nicely alongside their previous titles — with more on the way soon.
Will you be adding Fear in the Night to your 4K Ultra HD collection?
