Here's me playing FEAR 3 on Fearless difficulty (Insane difficulty needs to be unlocked) and start off as Rank 0 (or Rank 1?) so that these tactics can also be used by new players starting out.

I do however think that I play in a bit of an over-aggressive/risky way on some levels... but I also intended the videos to be enjoyable to watch without being a guide!
I will be completing a run as Fettel too on Insane difficulty to complete the guide (not sure if it will be clean runs though). I won't be making a Pointman Insane difficulty run as it seems easier than Fearless difficulty since your character will be fully upgraded by the time you unlock it.
I decided to record this walkthrough despite there already being countless others... but what I struggled to find was one without commentary.
I bought this a few days back in the steam winter sale and have been really enjoying this game despite many giving it poor reviews. It certainly isn't scary and may disappoint FEAR 1 players just like FEAR 2 did... but it's a fun experience when considered on its own.
And for those wondering about my name - No, I'm not a girl. NoArmsIrene is my nickname on steam which in turn is a reference to the anime Claymore... I used it for fun once as a joke among some of my friends while the show was still airing and just kept using it from that point on.

Fairly easy levels since you can start letting lopse with your ammo... just be sure to have a decent amount of assault rifle ammo left for upcoming biomass level.
Also be sure to look after Vladimir (the old guy). Hes just an enginner and therefore the weakest of all Rangers. Stick close to him during the ambushes and take down anything attacking him. You can safely ignore most of the other guys though. You will be given a game over screen if Vladimir dies.
This is played on Ranger Hardcore difficulty. PLAYLIST: http://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLEC59D2EC40935453
I edited the user.cfg with notepad in order to increase the FOV.
To do this you must edit the SICK_FOV value in the THREE user.cfg files located here:
C:Users[your username]AppDataLocal4A GamesMetro 2033
C:Program Files (x86)Steamsteamappscommonmetro 2033
C:Program Files (x86)Steamuserdata[random set of numbers]43110remote
Important: You need to keep the fullstop. I set it to SICK_FOV 65. Remember that Metro uses vertical FOV measurement rather than the common horizontal measure. A vertical FOV of 65 is a horizontal FOV of 90 on a 16:10 1920x1200 resolution. Setting it any higher might make some errors appear like seeing the end of your arms during reload animations or cutscene animations. You can try to see what you like best.
I just think the default FOV is ridiculous... and unfortunately, this is becoming way to common an issue for console ports nowadays. Metro 2033 - Ranger Hardcore Walkthrough Part 11 - Driving to Sparta + Dark Star + Dungeon + Cave](https://i.ytimg.com/vi/ymWbsaoqdUc/mqdefault.jpg)
