The technical launch of Feadship's Project 1012 took place at shipyard Slob in Papendrecht early yesterday morning. The hull went on transport to Makkum later that day. The transport took place via the Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal instead of the usual Rotterdam - IJmuiden direction. Just compare the 91.5m/300ft hull in Nieuwegein's Princess Beatrix Lock with the 135m/ 443ft barge Tasmanzee with a beam of 16.8m/ 55ft. Footage by The Nautical lady & Dutch Yachting.
