Minor improvement over the tutorial video. If Lyn ever fails to dodge and you have the option, you use a Vulnerary, otherwise be aggressive. The most reliable clear with no chance of death is 7 turns, and the fastest possible clear is 4 turns, which requires at least one 1% crit on the boss.
The rough calculations for the expected turncount are
65%~ chance for a 5 turn
14%~ chance for a 6 turn
21%~ chance to reset ( 20%~ turn 3, 1%~ turn 4)
The conditional mean clear turn is 5.2~
The conditional mean reset turn is 3.1~
The reset penalty is .8~
The expected turncount is 6~
Pessimistic Mode is a hack by Doesnt on feuniverse that only allows player character stats to increase if there is a 90% chance of them having increased by the level you have just attained. It is close to 0% growths in reliability but brings stat growths into the equation to reward training units and to help compare units better than by using averages.
