Kent can't 2HKO bandits so if you want to get him the bosskill you have to 4 turn (unless you let 5 str lyn rout the map on a forest tile for him). Since we're not trying to 3 turn, the chance of a reset is considerably lower, only Lyn's EP on turn 2 has any chance of death if she gets hit by everything. There are a few enemies that a miss on can result in a 5 turn, but there are backup attacks for almost everything besides the Merc that attacks Lyn on EP2.
One interesting variant point is that the Brigands REALLY like attacking Kent over Sain, even if they had the option to hit Sain on a Forest tile they prefer attacking Kent. Also, Kent's lower defensive parameters mean one Merc and an Archer are inclined to go after him on EP2, but since we're 4 turning the Archer's positioning doesn't matter.

91%~ chance for a 4 turn
5%~ chance for a 5 turn
4%~ chance to reset (4%~ turn 2 Lyn)
The conditional mean clear turn is 4.05~
The conditional mean reset turn is 2~
The reset penalty is 0.08~

Pessimistic Mode is a hack by Doesnt on feuniverse that only allows player character stats to increase if there is a 90% chance of them having increased by the level you have just attained. It is close to 0% growths in reliability but brings stat growths into the equation to reward training units and to help compare units better than by using averages.
