The New York City Fire Department held a graduation ceremony yesterday at the FDNY Training Academy on Randall's Island for nine new paramedics. Last year EMS responded to 1.5 million calls. I interviewed three generations of Braun family who have been saving lives in Bellerose, Queens and across the border in Bellerose, Nassau County. NOTE: Photos Courtesy of Martin Braun.
