On World Elder Abuse Awareness Day (June 15, 2022), the Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) hosted an event to increase awareness of ways to identify, prevent and report the financial exploitation of Older Adults, plan for unexpected life events, and prepare for disasters using the Money Smart for Older Adults financial education program.
