The FBI was in Harrisburg investigating an ICE-related shooting near 17th and Derry streets Wednesday morning, July 1, 2026. Harrisburg police were also present, securing the scene.
An ICE agent trying to arrest someone in Harrisburg’s Allison Hill neighborhood ended up shooting at a vehicle that sped away, authorities said.
FBI officials would not release any information, including what prompted the agents to shoot. But police confirmed an agent fired a single shot after a person they were trying to arrest “made a hostile move toward the agent.”
