Today I am back at Le Petit Château in beautiful Northumberland with photographer Nigel Playle (nigelplaylephotography.co.uk/) for the wedding of Faye & Michael.
On arrival I head to see Faye and the girls in Le Apartment as Joe finds Michael and the lads just outside the bar. We both manage to capture some great moments, a highlight for me being when Faye’s Dad saw her for the first time. It sure is a busy wedding with 117 guests, perhaps the busiest ceremony I’ve seen at this venue and the bustle of the guests really adds to the atmosphere; it is clear throughout the day that everyone is having a fabulous time.
Just before I wrapped filming for the day I manage to capture the best dance off I’ve ever seen at a wedding when Faye and her Mam took to the dance floor for Proud Mary. It was an amazing sight to see, with a massive circle of guests forming a ring around them as they both went full Tina. Others joined in at times but Faye performed the whole dance from start to finish. When the song ended she quickly collapsed onto the fire pit sofas for a well-deserved rest. I have no doubt that she was back on the dance floor long before the night was over.
