Eight-year-old Fatima dreams of becoming a doctor so she can help people in her community.
Thanks to the IRC's Programmatic Partnership with ECHO, children in Nigeria like Fatima, who dropped out of school due to conflict, can keep learning and make their parents proud.
8-year-old Fatima’s dreams were threatened when armed groups attacked her home in #Nigeria causing her to flee with her family.
Since 2014, violence from deadly militant groups, continue to force families to seek safety in other parts of the country.
Fatima had to leave her school behind. She missed years of vital learning and she’s not alone - last year up to 4.5 million children were out of school across northeastern Nigeria.
Thanks to the Programmatic Partnership with @eu_echo, children in #Nigeria who are forced to leave #school due to #conflict can catch up on lessons through Accelerated Learning Programming. These classes are vital for students like Fatima, who can once again access #education - including literacy, numeracy, and social and emotional skills - so they can continue learning.
