NOTE: Pirates of the Caribbean opened in 1967. It pre-dates Fata Morgana by 20 years!

Full ride-thru of Fata Morgana, a dark ride at Efteling theme park in The Netherlands that appears to be deeply influenced by Disney's "Pirates of the Caribbean", albeit much darker and more violent. Filmed in 1080p HD.

A few notes:
--This video is longer than the actual ride because I shot two ride-thrus and edited the takes together so that you could see more of the details.
--This is another ride where they blow in scents during some of the scenes.
--According to the official Efteling "Are We There Yet?" book, none of these figures are hydraulic or pneumatic Animatronics. They all work on a gear-based system that is hidden under the scenes. I find this hard to believe, but that's what the book says! (EDIT: It's true! youtu.be/wJcbVgrBLB0?t=1m1s)
--The laser-beam-shooting snake at the end had one of his eyes malfunctioning. Usually both are lit red.
