In April of 2024, the USS KIDD (DD-661) made a historic trip from Baton Rouge to Houma, LA, for drydocking. This is the first time in 62 years KIDD has been lifted on the blocks in a drydock. She's still undergoing restoration for hull work, redecking, and reconfiguration. The goal is to restore, preserve, and return closer to her 1945 configuration.
