Ex-pro cyclist Simon Richardson has caught the bug for ultra racing! After completing a ridiculously tough 640 kilometre ultra race across the East of England, Si’s back just six months later, with the pain and suffering seemingly wiped from his memory to take on his second and even harder endurance challenge.
Named after the Anglo Saxon Ruler, King Alfred’s Way in the South of England is a premiere 350 kilometre circular gravel route. It’s stunning scenery but Si has no intention of stop and take it easy, he’s riding against the clock, non stop, on a mission to beat the current Fastest Known Time. The record he has to beat? - 17 hours 20 minutes. We follow Si through the highs and lows of the route - but will he set a new record? Insight and advice comes from current record holder Matt Page, and the man behind the route, Guy Kesteven.
