Fastball Live at the House of Blues New Orleans Louisiana Aug 21, 1998
This show was posted on the House of Blues website back when they actually were innovators on the internet and streamed a boatload of audio and video concerts. Yes, it was very cool. As soon as everyone was jumping on the broadband wagon, they decided to make the site ugly and uninteresting with no content. Unfortunately, the software that was available in 1999 for directly downloading audio and video streams was nearly non-existent.
This show was recorded from the website at a 300k stream with "Cdwav" sniffing the soundcard real-time, directly as it streamed. There are some anomalies in a few of the tracks, notably in the song Emily where the stream glitches for a brief second. The tracks were separated in Cdwav and burned to CD Sometime in the summer of 1999. I found the cd recently, still in good condition and encoded the files for your enjoyment. Amazingly, it sounds very good!
