To all those just joining me after "The Laugh Track..." I promise you this is just a coincidence XD I didn't plan this out with that song's release, it just happened to be the next cover on my Halloween lineup schedule lol
Anyway, onto the cover itself! I saw the movie "Candyman" (the original from 1992) for the first time several months ago with my boyfriend, and I absolutely fell in love with it! :) It very well may be one of my favorite horror movies of all time, and the Candyman himself is probably my favorite killer in the genre. But after watching this movie, and listening to Ice Nine Kills' soong "Farewell II Flesh" (which was based on this movie), I began to think "what if this song were sung from the POV of Helen Lyle?" (the protagonist of the film, played by Virginia Madsen) Thus, I began work on rewriting the lyrics to this song to fit Helen, and now that rewrite is finally out for you all to see! :D
