Fanthing 42" ceiling fan in polished brass/woodgrain finish. I found this fan in the trash during Cleanup Week a few years back, finally got around to working with it. No further brand label or model name info is known, as far as I last heard. Similar to the known BHW/Prism Granada in form, but not the same fine details and presumably not the same OEM. I had one of these and sold it forever ago, but somehow, I seem to find duplicates of things I get rid of. It's hard to say with how long it's been, but I think this one is in slightly better physical condition. Still not pristine, but decent. Unfortunately I think getting set on the blades weakened a couple of the original arms. This style of arm is particularly brittle, so I always try to be super careful, but when going in to adjust the arms for balance they snapped off with basically zero force. Actually glad it happened before I turned it on, real potential they could've just flown off and damaged the blades. In all my spare parts, I don't have any spares of these, so I just snagged them from another fan so I could at least get the video done. I never particularly liked the one I had before, just grabbed it because they're unique, but having another one now they're actually a pretty nice little fan. Wood finishes are nice quality, the motor has a cast aluminum shell, runs pretty nice and quiet. It's a super unique motor, just rides one bearing on the bottom and is completely exposed to the windings on top. Almost like a reverse version of the Japanese Lasko top-mounts. I don't think I ever even opened the other one I had to see that part, was a new discovery with this one. Think it had an oversize 4 or 5 light kit on it when I found it, that was quickly removed to save space. Added this single small fitter and it serves well. This one was kind of a pain, especially when the arms broke on me, but worth it in the end to get an updated good quality video for one of these.
