Nayan's original work ‘Fantasy for Trumpet and Piano’ won third prize in the Release the Brief category of Guildhall Young Artists (GYA) composition competition, RELEASE 2024.
Nayan, from Junior Guildhall, says: "The RELEASE competition has been an inspiring opportunity for me to explore the creative and editorial processes of composition. It’s also amazing to see young people given the experience to work with industry professionals."
The category judge for Release the Brief was Publishing Manager at Warwick Music, Julie Fews. The piece is performed by trumpeter Thomas Nielsen and pianist Fionnuala Ward.
