Five Companions of Winter
Dark shadow prophecy, witch’s whisper
Only the souls of the powerful and bold
Their victories unfold
Once upon a nightmare
A sorceress enchanted the night air
Storms scoured all o’er the land was doomed to fall
Dark magic did enthral
Hope was fading from memory
Her spell, it stole the soul of every
Wandering star, ‘till her darkness carried far
Enshrouding who we are
Lost - a wandering poet
Spoke longingly the prophetic omen
He told a tale of five heroes’ shining mail
Together they’d prevail
One by one they came calling
Together they went forth without falling
Long swordsman, archer, paladin, druid, warrior
Prophesy unfolds
Marching through her dark night
They fought the beast of sorcery’s might
Banished the spell that under all fell
Revealed the sorceress’ plight
Strong were swords and shields
The druid’s magic conjured and healed
Then rose the sun, dark magic was undone
The heroes had won
