Hey folks! Heres the free song of the day! Well Im maybe cheating as theres actually two free songs today! The BBC Music proudly presents Against by the amazing Frazzle. This neurofunk drum and bass track pulses through your speakers to punch your eardrums. System Shock should have a dedicatory music. Dark, disgusting, spacey, robotic, emotionless and heavy : you cant fight Against SHODAN (dont know what it is? Hey google is your friend!). Frazzle had a lot of fun doing this track, specially the SHODAN voices. He learned a lot from it, used some dusty (re)samples spread through the HD and tried to pass down to all of you the same feeling that this game passed to Frazzle 10 years ago. Apparently, it is recommended to play the game while listening to this track ;)
Hey but wait a minute, you never heard of Frazzle? This is the scene name of Bruno de O. Silva, a Brazilian electronic producer hailing from São Paulo. On top of his 21 years old, Frazzle has been in the field for 3 years now! He mostly works with FL Studio, does some resampling through GoldWave (an Audacity like program) and FL itself, Spek to check bitrates, Adobe Audition for little and rare corrections. Also to mention gaming, drinks, girls, patience, patience and patience are big part of his productions.
Frazzle holds DnB as a passion and guys like Noisia, Phace and Spor really inspired him and his work. He generally listens to some ambient, rock and classical music... and noises from everything around! Something like Amon Tobin does. Frazzle is what I call a multi-genre artist. He likes to do DnB, but you can also listen to songs from him that arent in that category. Already composed House, Trance, Dubstep, and some weird experimental stuff. Conclusion: the electronic music world.
The secret is not how you do, but how youll impact. You have emotions - except if you are a serial killer or brainless zombie -, so does your music. Making it with dedication is the special touch. Never say never. Its better wasting 9 months doing a 3 minute song right than 3 minutes doing a 9 month baby wrong.
Bruno you made me laugh haha! This is so true folks, youd better wait a year to release a banger than waisting the whole year to release sloppy unfinished songs.
At least 80% of people doing electronic music today uses pre-maded samples and presets from commercial VSTs; if you want to make a sound with your signature, give the default DNC_KICK and shitty 3XOSC a chance, because they deserve attention like you deserves. Some day, youll thank them for everything you have done and become :).

Serpicon3, aka Andrea, is an electronic producer hailing from Rome, in Italy (I hope you know where is Rome haha!). This talented musician started playing around and having fun with music in the far 1990 as a Dj. He even got a job in a club as a resident Dj in 1992. After harvesting the fruits of this job, he invested all the money into various music instruments : The main goal was to push his productions farther and hopefully make money in the music industry as a dance producer. Serpicon3 never reached that goal so far... but he also never gave up with music and this is why I truly think hell make it.
Working mostly with Reason 5 to make his music (apparently he also tried to work with his cat but it wasnt very conclusive hehe), Serpicon3 has got into many various electronic genre. Nevertheless, his public releases are only dance oriented tracks. Surely the music trends have a big impact on his style, but its also important to mention that all the electronic music from the 80s are still an even bigger inspiration for him.
Nowadays, Serpicon3 as an amateur Dj produces for himself, for passion, and for everyone that want to listen to his works.

Some music seems to be held in secret and kept away from the mass, hidden for only privileged people to witness. Im ashamed to say I havent heard about Crickets Make Math until recently! The name strangely reminds me of my post about Phaross song Filthy Keys. Do you remember when I said everything is music, from the crackling of crawling ants to the whispering of wind and trees (I love quoting myself haha)? Well today Im going to say this, everything in our world can be described with math. Creepy, isnt it? Well, the point is if ants, or crickets, make music... They also make maths. Have we found the foundation of the artist name? Maybe, maybe not.
The BBC Music is really proud to widen the audience of this underrated producer named Daniel Stoeltzing (aka Crickets Make Math). Our eyes also have the tremendous pleasure to enjoy a creation from the studio Turtle Ink Production who made the video. You will find the necessary links at the bottom of this post to contact them if you are looking for someone to assist you in the production of a video clip.
Daniel Stoeltzing is Crickets Make Math. Hailing from New York in the USA, this talented artist has been experiencing with music for about 12 years now. Now 24 years away from his date of birth, you do the math (why is there so much math in this post?!), that guy has passed half of his life to play with sounds! Crickets Make Math is a perfect combination of talent, experience and inner flow, resulting in an unique and rich quality of production. Daniel always attempts to combine two characteristics at opposite sides of the sonic spectrum in every song : New with old sounds, electronic with organic, smooth pianos with dubstep-like wobble bass. He mostly produces Indie, Electronic and Instrumental type of music. Influences in his musical career are groups like Animal Collective, Don Caballero, Baths, Passion Pit and The Dismemberment Plan, just to name a new. What does he uses to make his songs? You can have a pretty neat idea if you take a closer look at the video but lets name a few of his tools. Crickets Make Math uses Pro Tools for production), Ableton for live performance, NI Maschine, Amplitude 2 & 3, NI Massive and an Ibanez SA Series guitar.
New EP Together in this in us will be releasing early December. The release will be a name your price deal on Bandcamp and all of the proceeds will go to a to-be-determined charity for the first month, so stay tuned and show some love ;)

I still havent a lot of information about At Dawn We Rage. Their first release is about one year old so theyre pretty new to the scene. Nevertheless, they already came out with some massive tracks like the remix of Deadmau5s song Sofi Needs a Ladder or the edit of Dada Lifes piece Unleash the fucking data. While being influenced by the recent Dubstep movement, At Dawn We Rage have its proper style, twisting DnB drum beats with popular Dubstep Wobbles on top of first-class synths and builds-up.

Here we go with the free song of the day! Im more into ambient-chillout songs these days but you probably already noticed it. Sand Dunes is a very cool song to do whatever. Just put it on and let yourself drift in the floaty soundscape created by Cliffhanga.
CliffHanga was a kid who liked making noise. From pulling apart his Major Morgan to change the noises when he was 6 to making a mess on a drum sequencer when he was 12, the aural saturation he has wanted to create for all has been ever present. The turning point to change such noise to music came when he was 16 on the arrival of his very first computer - it was then that he realized all he wanted to create in its fullest form. Five years on, at the tender age of 21, Cliff has seen his name rise and become an accomplished electronic music producer; turning heads, exciting ears and moving feet with lauded releases on High Rankins This Is Suicide Dub compilations and multiple releases in other genres no doubt helping his cause. CliffHanga is definitely one to keep your eye on.
