You might have heard about ICE launching a new “Citizens Academy” in Chicago. Our friends at Never Again Action just got their hands on the application materials — and it’s as bad as we thought.
ICE is trying to recruit regular people for a propaganda program to teach “awareness and appreciation” for ICE’s deportation work, and train them on “firearms familiarization and targeted arrests.” The government needs to focus on reuniting families - not training armed vigilantes to terrorize us or our neighbors for being immigrants or people of color. So we’re going to fight back, and that starts today with #FloodICE.
The goal is to ruin their application process by flooding them with fake applications. That’s where you come in! We need thousands of people to take 5 minutes to send in an “application” by 7/30. Join us and let's #FloodICE together!
