The remake for Super Mario RPG launches on Friday. While I'm not the most excited for this game specifically since I've already beaten it on SNES, I wanted to do something neat for the occasion. Ordinarily, I'd have posted this on Friday to coincide with the release, but I'm posting this video beforehand because there's actually another RPG I really like that celebrates its 20th anniversary that day.

This is yet another one of those arranges that got started last year but only got finished this year. I meant for this to be ready for last Christmas season, but I ultimately opted to replace it with a PC-98 remix of Illusionary White Traveler. Because it was going to bother me otherwise, I decided to try and finish it this year because I really liked how I did the intro and didnt want that work to go to waste. Hope it turned out alright!

A little over a month ago, I made a community post asking you for songs to turn into a medley, as well as a poll on which expansion chip in Famitracker to use. I think I said something along the lines about getting it ready by September. However, I underestimated how much work Id have to put into making a medley out of 26 songs, so that didnt end up panning out. On the plus side, however, this also turned out to be the longest song I have ever made for a video, clocking in at just under 37 minutes. I did like working on these songs, however, and Im glad it all came together at the end. I am going to take a 2 week break after this video, though. In the meantime I hope you all enjoy this gargantuan remix, thank you for 5,000 subscribers, and thank you all for sticking around for so long!

Trying out a new music tool today! This arrangement was made in Furnace, an open source alternative to Deflemask thats meant to support way more retro platforms than even the paid version of Deflemask does. I think its a really neat tool and Im looking forward to seeing more chip support in the future! However, Furnace currently lacks ROM support so unfortunately all I can provide is a .vgm file at this time. If and when that gets added, Ill update the download folder with it.
