A woman in her 70s returned from attending two wedding ceremonies to find her wooden house in Kampung Pasir Kota destroyed by fire today.
The woman, known as “Mak Nik”, had left the house with her daughter for less than an hour when the fire broke out.
A neighbour said the flames spread quickly through the wooden house, but nearby residents managed to escape safely.
Three cars were also moved to safety before they could be damaged by the fire.
