When Abigail’s mother was diagnosed with breast cancer, she underwent genetic testing and learned she carries the BRCA mutation. Knowing the impact this could have on her future fertility, her gynecologic oncologist encouraged her to explore egg freezing as a way to take back control.

Guided by Dr. Lucky Sekhon at RMA of New York, Abigail moved forward with confidence, preserving her fertility while focusing on her health, career, and future. After two egg freezing cycles, she feels empowered knowing she has options when the time is right to start a family.

RMA of New York is celebrating 25 years of advancing fertility science and turning hope into possibility. Family Portraits is a series of stories from RMA of New York patients.
