A family in western Colombia captured the moment they escaped their home just before it was rocked by a powerful magnitude 7.4 earthquake.

It was also the strongest to strike Colombia since 1970 and the 10th earthquake worldwide this year to register at least magnitude 7.0 on the Richter scale.
