Jules Conroy, or Family Jules, is an American guitarist and YouTube content creator known for his technical and emotionally driven heavy metal arrangements of video game music. Jules contributed guitars to the soundtracks for Cadence of Hyrule, Rift of the Necrodancer and Crypt of the Necrodancer which won the Game Developer's Choice Award for Best Audio 2016. His YouTube channel has over 560k subscribers and almost 200 million views, featuring popular videos like "Replay: A Metal Tribute to the History of Video Games," which has garnered more than 5.8 million views as well as over 500 heavy metal covers and medleys of video game music. Jules performs his arrangements live on tour as well as at conventions like Momocon, MAGfest, and PAX. He also streams on Twitch, where he speedruns Nintendo 64 titles like Ocarina of Time, and Super Mario 64.
MAGFest is run by MAGFest, Inc., a volunteer-supported 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to furthering the appreciation of video games, video game culture, and video game music. We achieve this through numerous events, such as Super MAGFest, MAGWest, MAGStock, and Bit Gen Gamer Fest. We also support other not-for-profit organizations, such as Child’s Play.
